Countdown to Midterm

1. A very interesting look back at the first 8 months of the Bush presidency. It actually hurts to watch this.
2. A gigantic summary of the events leading to 9/11.
3. Someone’s top 10 Bushisms. Not really sure this is even funny anymore.
4. An intelligent analysis of the Chris Wallace and Bill Clinton interview.
5. This is good: FRONTLINE goes behind the headlines to investigate the internal war that was waged between the intelligence community and Richard Bruce Cheney, the most powerful vice president in the nation’s history.
6. I started my own PAC! You can donate to my hand-selected candidates directly or start your own.
7. Hey! Steve Wozniak is going to be on the Colbert Report tonight.
8. Speaking of Colbert, here’s a great clip from last night’s show.
9. Borat invites Preznit Bush to a screening of his film and an after party at Hooters. (there seems to be a lot of traffic for this movie…it only comes up occasionally)
10. And finally, I found a perfect candidate for the Democrats’ new mascot if they don’t take control of congress this November.

Of course you’re right, the midterms are coming out. The question is what is the October surprise? Will the Republicans suddenly find Osama bin Laden is dead? Will we invade another country? Will return Iran into a nuclear waste site?

      Where’s the Outrage?

I have made a few predictions in my October Surprise for 2006 post. I think you are on the right track, but whatever the surprise is, it will need to instill a fear of change in voters.

My guess is a slew of “good news”, high profile successes. Not just a single October Surprise.
