I figured it out, with thanks to Newt Gingrich!

December 1st, 2006

I know how to protect US citizens from terror! Let’s take all the money we’ve been putting into foreign military adventures and build hundreds of thousands of prisons all across the country. Then, we move everybody out of their houses and into jail cells. The bars and concrete walls will serve dual purposes: 1, Lock the terrorists among us up, and 2, for those of us who are simple, law-abiding citizens, lock the terrorists out. Everybody’s locked up, problem solved.

Newt agrees:

But while we’re trying to protect our freedoms by taking them away, what do we do about these guys? They’ve written software to circumvent government censorship of the internet:

“Developers from the University of Toronto plan to release software this week that will allow residents in restrictive countries to gain uncensored Internet access through friends’ and family members’ home computers.”

Now, I’m no enemy of freedom, but freedom in the hands of the wrong people is dangerous. And since we don’t specifically know who is the wrong person I say we just abolish freedom for everyone. That will make us safe.

Olbermann is something special. The man makes brilliant arguments to counter the radical ideas of the totalitarian Right.

Good to see that Olbermann’s ratings are going way, way up ans O’Reilly’s ratings plummet.

He’s the only serious news guy that stands up to the BS of the right. Did you see that Fox is going to start its own right-leanding, satirical news show? Trying to compete with Colbert and Stewart. I’d bet a million bucks KO is a great source of material for them.

Actually, maybe not. In fact, I’d bet a million bucks that they can’t pull it off at all.
