U.S.A.P.A.T.R.I.O.T Act Hits Home

January 17th, 2007

I just had a financial transaction blocked by the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act! They won’t let this wire transfer go through until I prove I am who I say I am since I just moved. I now have to fax a copy of some form of government issued ID with my new address (which I don’t have because we just moved) to my financial institution before the government will allow me to take money out of one of my accounts and put it into another.

edit

Hah, er…that’s just a little joke. I would like to take this time to affirm my love of this great country and her Glorious Leader. For no particular reason I am going to spontaneously burst into song with the National Anthem right now. I always do that. It’s a little quirk I picked up in Patriot Camp while I was a kid. We learned all about how to love America, the Flag, and Our President.

Now, not that anybody would be reading this, because our Nation loves and protects my privacy, which I don’t need since I have nothing to hide, so if they were listening, which they’re not, I just want them to know that I have no ill-feelings toward any of the laws that have been implemented recently to protect me from the fake Americans, looking and acting just like me and you, who want to bomb things. Amen.
