Big Fun at Record Store Day

I made it the the Ballard Sonic Boom Record Store Day event in time to catch about 20 minutes of a performance by a ten-year-old kid who goes by the name of Vinnie Blackshadow.  I forgot to bring my camera, so I stole this pic from The Stranger

I Googled for pictures of the event, but didn’t find any.  I wish I had a photo of this kid covering Van Halen’s (quote:  “It’s hard being Diamond Dave.”) version of “You Really Got Me” because his guitar player was playing a pink Hello Kitty guitar.  Vinnie closed the show with a rousing version of “Satisfaction.”

Like I said, I did not find any photos, but I did find this video:

… and you can find out more at MySpace.

Update:  The Stranger now has this photo on the Line Out Slog

Oh, and Aqueduct followed Vinnie… tough act to follow, but they managed to put on a good show too.
