Not long ago, Bill O’Reilly was on David Letterman’s show and Letterman told Bill that he was pretty sure that 60% of what he said was crap.
More like 100%.
Last week, yes I’m way behind on blogging… kind of burned out on the Bush reruns about gay marriage and flag burning… boring…
Anyway… last week O’Reilly had General Wesley Clark on his show and during the discussion about the atrocities in Haditha, O’Reilly brought up a mass killing that took place in the Belgian town of Malmedy during WWII.
O’Reilly claimed that Americans massacred scores of unarmed Germans that had surrendered. He brought it up to make a point espoused by many on the right. You’ve all heard it: “War is bad and bad shit happens, so get over it.”
Only problem was that O’Reilly didn’t get his “facts” right. He got them all backasswards. It was the Germans that massacred scores of unarmed Americans, not Americans that killed Germans.
Take the time to watch Keith Olbermann tear Bill apart. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Olbermann so pissed off before.
And if Murdoch or any of the network executives at FOX News had any balls, they would fire O’Reilly. Other “journalists” have been fired for much less.
