Donald Trump Lies about Winning the Popular Vote

Donald Trump Lies about Winning the Popular Vote

Donald Trump rebels against anything that doesn’t align with his own version of reality in which he is a supreme being adored by everyone. So as Hillary Clinton continues to gain more and more of the popular vote – last reported as a 2.2 million vote lead – he tweeted out more lies.

“In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally.”

…and a little later

“Serious voter fraud in Virginia, New Hampshire and California – so why isn’t the media reporting on this? Serious bias – big problem”!

There is evidence from actual vote tallies showing that Hillary Clinton leads by over two million in the popular vote, and there is no evidence that millions of people voted illegally. If there was evidence of voter fraud and the press didn’t report it, then there would be bias. But there isn’t any evidence, so there is no biased reporting.

Truth never mattered to Donald Trump during the campaign, and it doesn’t matter to him now. All that matters is that the news got under his skin, so he had to vent with a Twitter storm. He’s lashed out because the large popular-vote lead has Jill Stein questioning the outcome of votes in key swing states, which has led her and the Clinton team to ask for a recount of the Wisconsin vote where he won by 22,177. Trump leads by 10,704 in Michigan and 70,638 in Pennsylvania.

A recount of all three states that showed Hillary Clinton won those three states would make her the winner. Such a reversal is not likely, but if Trump’s margins of victory are within the range that allow for recounts, why not do them? Shouldn’t we exhaust all measures that might possibly keep the most thin skinned, least qualified, biggest liar to ever run for president out of the White House?

InfoWars LogoI think so, but that’s not really what this is about. This is about Donald Trump not liking the news that he lost the popular vote, and that people now want to make sure the electoral votes are correct. But instead of responding in a presidential way by saying he doesn’t think the recounts will change the results, he made up a story about “millions of people voting illegally” that is based on nothing more than the bullshit he pulled out of his own asshole after digesting false conspiracy theories fed to him by the batshit crazy InfoWars website.

  1. I’ve never looked at the Alex Jones site before. Holy freaking crap! I just can’t imagine how you’d go about living a normal life if you really believed that the affluent, white, Christian, male majority in this country is so oppressed by a secret world order exemplified by yoga-pants-wearing PTA moms who prop their kids up for participation even when they don’t make MVP in the championships.

Is a “snowflake” really that scary?
